We now live in a society where everything we do is recorded and posted on social media. Future generations will be able to relive our lives as if they are watching a tv series. Yes we have always kept photo albums and scrap books to record our lives.
Sam would come to Barcelona and visit every summer.
Her video camera was an extension of her body.
Sam & I inherited our obsession from our French grand-father the original "CameraMammal" of our clan. We were told how annoying our Grand-father "CameraMammal" was constantly following everyone with his super 8 covering his face. Our mother and aunt have a very good photographic eye.
Every single thing we do in life is ephemeral. Somehow living every moment through a little hole and capturing it allows you to relive these moments time and time again and awakens your emotions. It's as if we want to capture life and lock it up in a box.
This project "Sam says enjoy life! " was created on the basis of watching hours and hours of footage that my sister Sam filmed and contaminating society with this felicitous way of life.
